microSiemens for ppm guide
The conductivity of water is calculated in microSiemens per centimetre (µS/cm), which is an important factor for many industries.
microSiemens per centimetre in water can also be related to ppm in water (parts per million).
ppm (parts per million) in water is roughly an indication of how "dirty" the water is - ppm in water can be a combination of many factors, such as calcium, salt or other solutes in the water.
In many industries, ppm is also equal to mg/l (milligrams per litre).
This table is a guide to what µS/cm corresponds to in ppm (parts per million), and vice versa.
