Water filters coffee machines - Brita & 3M

A water filter for your coffee maker may be a good idea, both privately and business-wise. The reason is that you might experience a high amount of limestone in our underground water, which is why our coffee makers endure a lot, just as the coffee may often taste of limestone. With a water filter for your coffee maker, you will get rid of limestone, bad taste and odor.

Which significance does a water filter have for your coffee machine?

When a filter is connected to your coffee machine, it means that an extra joint is installed between the water and machine. That way, the filter ensures that the limestone, bacteria, bad odors and tastes are retained. Detaining the limestone means that the machine is not calcified, which has three impacts: the machine has a longer service life (limestone is rough on materials); your coffee gets hotter because no limestone is cluttering on the kettles of the coffee maker, and your coffee will get an improved and nicer taste as the water is free of limestone.

Filters for private and business purposes

The filters have different needs, depending on which coffee maker you need. For business purposes, the coffee maker will often require nozzles, which requires a filter, utilizing the ion exchanges and a certain capacity regarding the water consumption. For private households, less is okay as the coffee maker rarely has a nozzle, just as your water consumption is much less than at a cafe or restaurant. For private consumption, the filter is utilizing its casing, which means that the limestone will be cluttered and retained. This is a simpler technology than the ion exchange but correlates well with the needs of the private consumption.

Do you need a filter?

If you are having doubts whether or not to use a filter, which retains limestone and bacteria, you only need to know that the hardness of the water should be between 4 and 8 dH. Nevertheless, many places in e.g Denmark, the hardness is metered much higher. In Frederiksberg, up to 30 dH has been metered. The thing is that the water in Denmark is generally too hard, which is why we ingest more limestone than we should. In reality, the answer is simple: everybody should have a filter, which retains limestone, not only for your own sake, but for the sake of the coffee makers you have in your private household.
