Ocker ist ein natürlich vorkommendes Bodensediment, das gelb, rot oder braun sein kann. Schon seit Jahrhunderten wurde es zum Färben von Wänden und Fassaden genutzt. Für Menschen ist Ocker ungiftig, für Tiere jedoch schädlich. Besonders in Jütland führt Ockerbelastung in Bächen und Flüssen zu erheblichen Problemen (siehe Hinweis unten).

Wasseranalyse vor dem Kauf
Bevor Sie in ein Ockerfilter-Set investieren, empfehlen wir eine Wasserprobe. So lässt sich ausschließen, dass andere Stoffe wie Mangan – das mit herkömmlichen Filtern nicht entfernt werden kann – für gelbliches Wasser verantwortlich sind.
Wie entsteht Ocker?
Ocker besteht aus Eisen und Schwefel und kann jahrelang im Boden verbleiben, ohne sich zu verändern. Kommt es mit Sauerstoff in Kontakt, färbt es sich rot. Bindet der rote Ocker Wasser, wechselt die Farbe zu Gelb. Bis 1985 war es erlaubt, eisenhaltige Gebiete zu entwässern, wodurch Ocker in Gewässer gelangte und wegen seines niedrigen pH-Wertes Tierwelt und Fische stark schädigte.
Warum ein Ockerfilter sinnvoll ist
Für den Menschen ist Ocker ungefährlich, aber es verursacht Verfärbungen, schlechten Geschmack und starken Geruch. Selbst grünliche Haarverfärbungen nach dem Duschen können ein Hinweis auf Ocker im Wasser sein. Ein Ockerfilter beseitigt Geruch, schlechten Geschmack und Verfärbungen zuverlässig.
Installation
Der Filter wird an der Hauptwasserleitung Ihres Hauses montiert. Ist dies nicht möglich, kann er auch an der Zuleitung zum Wasserhahn installiert werden.

Bitte beachten: Ein Ockerfilter entfernt kein Calcium. Bei Kalkproblemen empfehlen wir eine Enthärtungsanlage.
